MegaBait's Charlie - '02 ICAST winner

Being innovative today takes a lot of thought and research. You can try and try and never come up with something entirely different that will make people stand up and watch. Megabait has done something to make many awestruck. Definitely leaders in the pack on natural movement baits, Charlie is a life like winner.

The bait has small slits along the sides to allow it to swim like a real live shad going through the water. The middle portion has two tungsten balls inside for a rhythmic rattle. The small lip on the front allows it to dive down to 2 ft. on the 4" model. It's single treble hook in the front comes out of box sharp so no changing of hooks is necessary.

 BassDigest took this bait shallow and ran it over weeds and close to brush and docks. We swam the bait back and even jerked it in cadence, each time amazed at the action of the bait and how life like it was. The fish like the bait too. We caught countless fish in shallow when slowly worked in the skinny water. We found another tactic that produced some fish which was rigging a split shot 2 1/2 feet in front of the bait and running it in 12 feet of water over fish laying on small rubble. It destroyed these bass.

This bait is too good, too life like and can be fished a number of ways. Drawback: It has a bigger price tag and the bait can be destroyed by one pike or walleye. There are no replacement bodies so the bait is done!
